The Value of Coaching
To lead is to bring something into the world that wasn’t there before. Leadership inevitably requires meeting the unknown—every leadership challenge has its own unique context, dynamics, and cast of characters that preclude ready-made advice. This is where coaching comes in: coaching doesn’t give you answers—it helps you find them for yourself.
Sometimes this means finding clarity about what you have to bring into the world and how you can best do so. Other times it takes learning new skills or changing behaviors that get in the way. In any case, coaching puts you in command to figure out what works—you are the foremost expert in your leadership challenge.

My Approach
I have two main aims in coaching: 1) clarifying the results and impact that you want truly to achieve, and 2) building the skills and capabilities you need to achieve them. This always starts with creating a shared understanding of what you are striving for—the endeavors that you want to bring into the world. This is done through extensive dialogue, drawing out the meaning of your goals and the barriers you are facing.
Together with you, we set an action plan to navigate your challenges and work towards achieving your goals. Importantly, they are ultimately your goals on your plan—my role is to support you in bringing them to be. Along the way we set checkpoints on your goals—which may change—to make sure you are on track towards progress.
